SkyHigh BakingPrivacy Policy

Last updated October 27, 2026 · SkyHigh Baking is published by 5280 Labs LLC, a Colorado limited liability company.

The short version: App Store version 1.0.0 has no account system, ads or analytics. Recipe entry, conversion, saved recipes, photos and altitude lookup stay on your device. Reporting an issue opens an email draft that you decide whether to send. Catalog downloads, recipe suggestions and sending a recipe to Apple Watch are planned for 1.1, not features of 1.0.0. Their data handling is described below so you can review it before using them. The planned App Clip is not available yet.

Version scope: Version 1.0.0 is the current App Store release. References below to catalog downloads, submitting a recipe suggestion, Request a Feature and Send to Apple Watch describe planned 1.1 features. They do not mean those features are available in 1.0.0. Invited testers should also read the notes for their installed build. The App Clip is planned for 1.1; any additional data practices will be described here before it becomes available.

I.Planned catalog and recipe-suggestion handling

SkyHigh Baking has no user accounts and does not assign a persistent user identifier. Recipe entry, conversion, altitude lookup and saved history remain on your device in version 1.0.0. The following describes the planned 1.1 recipe-suggestion feature. If you choose to submit a suggestion, we receive the recipe name and text, the altitude shown for it, the contact email you enter, and the first saved photo only if you choose to include it. We use this information to review the suggestion and, if appropriate, add it to the staging catalog for testing. We may use the email to identify you as the submitter or contact you about the suggestion.

The suggestion is stored in a private Cloudflare staging queue for up to 180 days while pending. After review, the private submission record is kept for up to 90 days. If declined, its photo is deleted when the suggestion is reviewed. If added to staging, the photo moves to the staging catalog, where it is available to staging app builds; it is not added to production. Cloudflare receives the network connection details needed to process the request and apply abuse limits. The suggestion record does not retain your IP address. We attempt to notify the publisher at support@5280labs.app using Apple's iCloud Mail SMTP service; if that notification cannot be delivered, the suggestion remains in the private queue.

The planned 1.1 catalog feature downloads recipe content that we publish in the public Favorites catalog; that request does not include your recipes, saved history, or location. Our website host may receive standard connection details, such as your device's IP address, when it serves the catalog or this policy page.

II.What happens to a recipe you enter

When you photograph, upload, or paste in a recipe, the text is read using Apple's on-device text recognition. The image and text never leave your device. Recipe text, the classification you confirm and the converted result stay in the app during conversion. The planned 1.1 recipe-suggestion action is separate and sends only when you choose to submit it, as described above.

If you save a conversion, it's stored in a database on your device so you can find it again in My Recipes. Saved recipes are not transmitted unless you choose to suggest one for Publisher's Favorites. Swiping to delete a saved recipe moves it to Recently Deleted, still only on your device, where you can restore it for 30 days. After 30 days, or as soon as you tap Delete Now or Delete All, it's removed for good. Uninstalling the app removes everything at once. If a future version adds cross-device sync, this page will be updated to describe it before it ships.

III.Location

SkyHigh Baking uses your location only to look up your altitude, each time you reach the altitude step of a conversion or tap refresh there. The location is used for that lookup and is not stored or transmitted. You can decline location access and enter a ZIP or postal code, or your altitude, instead. The app works the same either way.

IV.Camera and photo library

When you photograph or select a recipe to convert, the image is processed on your device for text recognition and is not uploaded or kept after the text is read. If you add photos of a bake to a saved recipe, those photos are stored on your device with that recipe until you delete them.

V.Emails you choose to send

Version 1.0.0 offers “Report an issue” on a conversion; “Request a Feature” is planned for 1.1. If you choose one of these email actions, SkyHigh Baking opens your mail app with a draft. You can review, edit, or cancel it; nothing is sent unless you choose Send. These emails go to support@5280labs.app and are used to answer you and improve the app.

The planned 1.1 recipe-suggestion action is different: after you review the details and tap “Send for review,” the app sends the recipe to our staging service. The contact email is required so the publisher can identify the submitter; including the first saved photo is optional. You can cancel without sending. The suggestion first enters a private review queue. The publisher must choose to add it to the staging catalog, and production is unchanged.

VI.Planned 1.1 recipe delivery to Apple Watch

If you choose “Send to Apple Watch,” the app copies the converted recipe text to the SkyHigh Baking app on your paired Watch using Apple's Watch Connectivity service. The copy includes the ingredients, oven guidance, notes, and steps, but not photos. It is stored locally on the Watch so you can read it offline, and remains there until you remove it from the Watch app or replace it with another recipe. We do not receive this recipe.

VII.What we don't do

AdsNone. No ad networks, ad SDKs, or ad tracking.
AnalyticsNone. No third-party analytics SDKs.
AccountsNone. Nothing to sign up for or log into.
Selling or sharing dataWe do not sell personal data. In the planned 1.1 suggestion feature, a recipe, contact email and optional first photo are shared with our private staging service only when you choose to submit a recipe suggestion.
Recipe syncNo cross-device recipe sync. Planned 1.1 Watch delivery is a one-time copy you choose, not saved-recipe sync.

Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics (such as download counts) from users who chose to share them with developers. That data comes from Apple, not from the app, and doesn't identify you.

VIII.Children's privacy

SkyHigh Baking is a general-audience recipe tool, not directed at children. A user who submits a recipe suggestion must provide a contact email and should have permission to share any included photo.

IX.Deleting your data

Your saved recipes and photos live only on your iPhone or iPad. Swipe to delete a saved recipe and it goes to Recently Deleted for 30 days; tap Delete Now there to remove it right away. Remove a Watch copy in the Watch app. Uninstalling each app removes its local data. Version 1.0.0 has no account to close or server copy of your saved recipes. Planned 1.1 submissions are separate from the local library and follow the retention periods in section I; contact support about a recipe suggestion you have submitted.

X.Changes to this policy

We will update this page if SkyHigh Baking changes how it handles data. The catalog planned for app version 1.1 contains recipe content published by 5280 Labs. The website host may receive standard connection details when the catalog is requested. Optional sync or other new data practices will be described here before they ship.
